IT'S BEEN A WEEK AND NO NEW CASES OF COVID-19 HAVE BEEN DISCOVERED

Updated at 8:00 a.m. this morning (April 23), the total number of infections to date: is 268. Of which 223 cases have been recovered. Thus, there are only 45 cases currently being treated in hospitals across the country.
From 0:00 this morning, social distancing will be relaxed across the country, except for "high-risk" areas such as Me Linh and Thuong Tin districts in Hanoi and Dong Van town in Ha Giang.

The greatest success of social distancing is to minimize the spread in the community so that the epidemic does not break out. However, shortly, there may still be small outbreaks that need to be controlled and not let "the sparks explode into a big fire".

According to the Senior Advisor of the Vietnam Public Health Emergency Response Center, the entire population needs to continue to implement the "5 safety" principles after physical distancing:

1. Continue wearing a mask.
2. Avoid close communication less than 2 meters.
3. Do not gather in large groups, do not go out if not necessary.
4. Regularly wash your hands with soap or antiseptic water.
5. Make a full medical declaration, especially when there are symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, and fatigue symptoms without finding the cause.
